Face to Face

By Curt Fisher and Ross Hamilton

All characters in this body of work were conceived and executed by my friend, the writer, musician, artist, fellow SAIC classmate Curt Fisher. Employing the use of foam latex, appendages were crafted first with plasticine clay on a plaster cast of Curt’s face. A nose, cheekbones, lips, an extended brow. A plaster cast of Fisher’s chest allowed him to fashion breasts with plasticine for the Playboy Magazine-esque character. A wig and a little Vasiline on the camera’s UV filter completed the look.

All of the photographs tried to reproduce the look and feel of each character’s era and the photographic processes of the time. The photos, in a way, could also be considered in disguise.
